Everyone talking about XCX. And sure, for good reason. I'm on board. Love that game. But I feel like nobody is asking about XCX2. I've been waiting for word or even just fan hype on XCX2 since I finished the wiiU title. Anybody? Nobody? 🤷‍♀️

Zorn and Thorn track is sick

Xenoblade Chronicles X took a lot of inspiration from Western open worlds. I honestly view it as a Western rpg instead of a JRPG.

Finished setsuna on vita and loved soundtrack and the simplicity of the battle system, while the plot just an o-kay. Short, but i really enjoyed it. And today found this for 10$ on a bin sales. If its better than setsuna, then great, if not, still money well spent 😂

this was my first xenoblade game and a mindblowing experience I still haven't recovered from 10 years later. I was quite disappointed in the other xenoblade games because they lacked the incredible open world that made me fall in love with this. I also preferred the subtler more intrigue-focused story compared to the more anime-power-up style story of the other games. the only game design that made me feel nearly as in awe was the first Dark Souls game. god I want this feeling of exploration and adventure from a game again

Now compare this game from 2015 on the Wii U with all the current pokemon switch games. Man are we getting shafted hard..

The popin was hilarious at one point. I was in Cyslodin and were supposed to be keeping a low profile. All the sudden 4 people poped up out of no where. (I roleplayed that they were on to us lol).

Funny enough I bought all the tales except the tales of Hearts, tales of Destiny 2 (Eternia) and tales of Zestria. An...I decided to start with Tales of Arise lol.

Xenoblade X feels like an actual _open-world._ A world that you can affect with the things you do. The more missions you do the more the outside world changes to reflect that and not even most open world's do that. Most might have small changes here and there but for the most part what you get in the beginning of and open world stays that way until the end. But entire _landmarks_ can change in X. And throughout it you grow you city, adding residents and even some buildings to it. That is immersion right there. That's what makes it such a good open world. The only reason it didn't do as good is too reasons. It was a complete departure from Xenoblade 1, not a true sequel like people were expecting, and it being on the Wii U.

This is just so exact of a explanation o this game there could be and myself see this game as a journey that is most important(atleast what i think+not to easy if it was it would be boring as H*LL)

To Easy??? WHaat!!==This is a game that hasnt anything to do with anything else exept the journey from start to finish and if to easy i would say NO NO n NO... Why do i say no?? Because i have an extremly hard time in any game due to just started to game about 2-3 years back and havent played a singel game since the 80s/90s before 2021/22 so i was so far from a gamer and if i could playthrough the game in a pretty ok way without any extreme hardship i will say this is an ok game if looking for a EASY game"Not to easy,its all about the journey... Tales of Vesperia is probably the bets place to start. It's older, but it doesn't feel old. It's a good balance between old and new.

People who hate Cold Steel 1 so much they won't play 2 just don't deserve it.

Do all you reviewers say and do the exact same thing? Every damn one talks about how the story starts and uses the same stupid slang, such as story beats or dialogue dump. Get some originality!

No game has ever made me feel the same sense of wonder as X does. Not Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom, not Skyrim, not Oblivion, not Morrowind, not the Witcher 3, not even Elden Ring or the other Xenoblade games. The landscapes and creatures of X feel truly alien and awe inspiring. It feels the most like actually exploring a new alien planet of any game or film I've ever experienced.

Nintendo is what ruins this company. They are forced to always be Nintendo excursive, and it is ruining them so bad. For example, imagine a PC Ports of their games. All Xenoblade games, 1 2 3 and X. They could easily implement east QoL features to address the main complaints of the game, being questionable town music, (make it you can choose from a few tracks what you want to be as the town music).

PC is just cleaner than Switch I'm also pretty sure the title screen is just Switch footage. It seemed the same, even with frame rate. 'Twas lame. It would've made a good benchmarker if you could change the graphical settings in the title screen

Viewing combat as a means to an end is such a weird take. I cant imagine being happy with so much of a game being mindless and unengaging

from the games i played so far vesperia is on my first place. im also saving a replay for a special occasion. my other 2 games are berseria and zestiria. i like both games for different reasons. altho berseria is definitely more polished, i just dont like the combat. and i tried to like it. the problem is that the combat is either to simplistic (basically just mashing the "you decide" combos, or spending hours micro managing them and no in between) which is why my next "play through" will be a 27 hour long youtube video that contains all skits and story pieces. i like zestiria. altho it has its issues, the strengths it has it makes it more worth playing that berseria imo. combat feels more interactive, the locations give off a better sense of wonder (if you ignore the dungeons). berserias locations look good too, but they are bit bleak in comparison. however, im undecided which game will be next. im thinking of going with xillia, since arise is too modern and might spoil older titles.

Xenoblade Chronicles X was the worst of the series, and the combat was terrible...

I think I'll stick with triple triad 😅

I bought this game in June 2020. It was my 2nd most played game of that year falling behind Persona 5 Royal but I enjoyed every bit I played it.

Great review, i really love the atelier games. I might buy nelke and the legendary alchemists later on for the nintendo switch, even though it's not really my type of game, I still love the animation and design of this game. I'm thinking about getting nelke and the legendary alchemists when it's on sale and atelier lulua for the nintendo switch too.

My top 5: Vesperia Symphonia Graces Berseria Xillia

I just finished Ryza. It's a great jrpg. Very fun. I started Ryza 2 right away.

IMO I would never want to play the best one first as it would be down hill from there, so one thats around the (3rd -7th) best is one id recommend. I have never ranked them in my head but I think Tales of Xillia might be one i'd recommend as a starter. If i could wipe my memory of all the games and leave my self note as to which one to play first anyways. The downside is that one is PS3 so won't work on a ps5 so if they didn't have a PS3 then i'd suggest Tales of Zestiria which is underrated imo.

It's a real shame that there probably won't be a 3rd DQB game. It seems like one *was* in development but it got cancelled among a bunch of other games due to poor performance of other SqEn games. The series director has also left the company, and with Akira Toriyama's passing it seems like all the heart and soul of the series isn't in a position to do any more of it.

Breath of the Wild and TOTK still don't have the open world experience Xenoblade X offered. I stand by that.

Well.... I've only played Symphonia so far so that's my number 1. Favorite character in the game is Fujibayashi Sheena. Then Kratos. Gonna play Vesperia and Abyss, but now I'll add Xillia to the list
